20 Years of Building Life
A Good Time to Look Back
This year, Timberlin Homes is celebrating 20 years of building life. As the year begins to wind down, it feels like a fitting time to look back at where we started, the people who have been part of the journey, and everything that has made these past two decades possible.
Building has been part of Barclay Allen’s life for more than 30 years. His father-in-law, Herb Delagrange, built a respected name in Northeast Indiana and set an example of what it means to work hard, build with care, and stand behind what you create. That family connection to the building industry has always meant a lot to Barclay, and Timberlin Homes continues its own part of that story today.

Grateful for Our Team
Twenty years of Timberlin would never have happened because of one person. Our team has grown to include people with experience in construction, architecture, interior design, project management, operations, and finance. Each person brings something different to the work we do.
We are especially thankful for Eric Criswell, Becky Stahl, Rachel Corlew, Jen Adams, Heather Allen, and JP Visser, along with everyone who has been part of Timberlin through the years. We are just as grateful for the craftsmen, contractors, vendors, and suppliers who continue to show up, solve problems, and help us do our best work.
And, of course, none of this happens without the clients who trust us with their homes, businesses, ideas, and plans. Being invited into those projects is something we never take for granted.
More Than One Kind of Project
Timberlin may be best known for custom homes, but our work has never fit into one category. We build primary residences, lake homes, and homes in rural and neighborhood settings, while also taking on renovations, additions, and select commercial work.
That variety is part of what has kept the past 20 years interesting. Every client comes to us with different priorities and different ideas about how a space needs to work, and we still enjoy figuring out how to bring those pieces together.

Looking Ahead
Reaching 20 years gives us plenty to appreciate, but it also gives us plenty to look forward to.
We want to keep taking on projects that challenge us, continue growing the commercial side of our work, and keep finding better ways to guide clients through the building process. We also want Timberlin to remain the kind of company where long relationships matter, whether that relationship is with a homeowner, an employee, a trade partner, or a supplier.
As we look back on the first 20 years, we are grateful for the people who trusted us, worked beside us, recommended us, and helped Timberlin become what it is today. There is plenty still ahead, and we are thankful to keep building from here.
